Course Summary

Leaders struggle with both skills and confidence to manage individuals who are experiencing mental health challenges but at the same time, are highly aware of the impact that it has both on the individual, their co-workers and the business. Training and equipping leaders to effectively communicate with and manage those who are affected can reduce absenteeism, presenteeism, turnover and workers compensation claims. Staff with managers who are competent in this area experience lower rates of burnout and are able to recover while retaining their involvement in the workplace.

Practice the skills to communicate with a team member who has a mental illness

Understand obligations and strategy to support back to full health

Create a culture of psychological safety.
