This course is designed to assist technicians in understanding the Fundamentals of Electrical as used in heavy machinery.

- Digital Multi-meters (DMM)
- Connectors as used on the Cat Product

LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of electricity.
- Understand the proper use of a digital multi-meter (DMM).
- Understand Ohm’s Law and its importance in troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems.
- Understand Series circuits, Parallel circuits, Series-Parallel (combination) circuits,
- Understanding the basic circuit faults and how to troubleshoot them.
- Identify types of connectors used on Caterpillar products and to demonstrate the ability to service those connectors
PPE REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate high visibility work attire, safety glasses, safety boots & gloves.
