Course Summary
In September 2022 new access provisions for housing will be introduced into the National Construction Code (NCC). This will mean a significant change to requirements for housing, that will improve livability to homes across Australia.
These changes are based on, but are not the same, as those outlined in the Livable Housing Design Guidelines (LHDG).
It will be important for all professionals working in the design and development of housing, as well as building certifiers and surveyors responsible for certification of new dwellings, to understand and apply these provisions appropriately.
This 2 hour training session will provide an overview of the new access provisions in the NCC as well as the differences between the LHA Design Guidelines and the new access requirements for housing.
Presented by industry expert and Access Institute Director (Ms) Joe Manton.
