Course Summary

Welcome to the training course on Section J of Volume One of the National Construction Code Series (NCC) – Building Code of Australia (BCA) Class 2 to Class 9 Buildings.

This course is written in conjunction with the Association of Accredited Certifiers (AAC).

This course will provide you with an overview of Alternative Solutions for Section J, specifically the JV3 Verification Method.

Topics covered in this course include:

  1. Introduction and Overview
  2. Compliance with Section J – energy efficiency
  3. Building Solutions – BCA Structure
  4. Verification Method JV3
  5. Basic Structure of JV3
  6. JVS Simulation Software and Simulation Criteria
  7. Specific Capabilities
  8. Summary and Checklist

Upon completion of this course, you will have acquired an overview of the JV3 Verification Method process and how it relates to the Deemed to Satisfy Section J requirements, as well as insight into what is involved in JV3 energy simulations.

A series of online closed questions that are auto marked; questions are directly related to the learning material covered in the course.

Participants are required to achieve a pass rate of 80% to successfully complete the course.

The course allows up to three (3) attempts to successfully complete all the assessment questions.

Participants will be sent a CPD certificate by email upon successful completion of the course materials and assessment process.
