Course Summary

This CPD course has been developed for builders, architects, building designers, and plumbers working in the built environment to introduce rainwater harvesting systems for household use in Australia.

You will learn about the benefits of rainwater harvesting systems, as well as hazards and risks to consider. You will learn about the design and maintenance of a variety of systems, and regulatory considerations in a variety of jurisdictions.

On completion of this course, it is expected you will be able to:

*Identify potential benefits, health risks and hazards associated with rainwater harvesting systems.

*Identify the general elements that constitute a successful rainwater harvesting system.

*Recall the questions you need to ask when designing a rainwater harvesting systems from a stand-alone remote household system to a small laundry or toilet mains backup system.

*Identify where you can locate further information on the regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction and relevant technical standards associated with rainwater tank installation.
