Course Summary

The purpose of this course is to give the learner a better understanding of hazardous manual handling tasks in the workplace, your rights and responsibilities and how to safeguard against the risks of musculoskeletal disorders.

Most jobs require some form of manual tasks and not all manual tasks are hazardous. The most common health issues arising from activities of manual labour are musculoskeletal disorders such as sprains and strains.

Understanding the importance of managing risks of hazardous manual tasks, the biomechanics of manual handling and knowing what injuries or illnesses may occur encourages managers and workers to implement strategies to minimise risks as reasonably practical and create a safer workplace for all.

A series of online closed questions that are auto marked; questions are directly related to the learning material covered in the course.

Participants are required to achieve a pass rate of 80% to successfully complete the course.

The course allows up to three (3) attempts to successfully complete all the assessment questions.

Participants will be sent a CPD certificate by email upon successful completion of the course materials and assessment process.
