Course Summary

This course covers skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces. It includes:

  • the definition of a confined space;
  • safe entry to undertake work including atmospheres and testing;
  • safe work practices;
  • confined space entry permits; hot work permits;
  • risk identification and assessment;
  • appropriate personal protective equipment; and
  • emergency procedures.

Both theory and practical is covered in the one day course.
