Course Summary

Overview

Our Enter and Work in Confined Space Course is designed to instruct participants on how to determine what hazards may exist within the confined spaces, to put in place control measures, to ensure safe work practises and to carry out the work in accordance with confined space regulations and standards.

Content:

The following content is covered during the course of the training session:

  • WH&S legislation, height safety regulations, codes of practice & relevant Australian standards.
  • Roles & responsibilities of managers & employees
  • Identifying confined spaces & hazards
  • Risk assessments & hierarchy of hazard controls
  • Confined space work permits & entry procedures
  • Safety procedures
  • Atmospheric monitoring and gas detection
  • Practical entry into a confined space
  • Emergency procedures
  • Practical rescue from a confined space
