Course Summary

The program provides participants with the skills and knowledge to identify lifting components, discard damaged equipment and sling a load and direct the crane operator.

As a result of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Planning the task requirements
  • Selecting and inspecting lifting equipment
  • Preparing the site including hazard assessment
  • Perform the lifting task, directing the crane operator

Entry requirements

There are age restrictions set by the Work Health and Safety legislation, all participants must be at least 18 years of age to complete the National High Risk Work Licence Assessment.

This course requires the participant to comprehend and complete MIWT’s learning materials, i.e. MIWT’s Risk Assessment/ Job Safety Analyses. and the oral/written knowledge assessment.
