Course Summary

This training course outlines the skills and knowledge required to:

  • Cut and weld materials by:
    • Using oxyacetylene, electric welding and bending equipment
    • Selecting appropriate tools for tasks
    • Using hand and power tools
    • Fixing welding defects
  • Heat and bend materials by:
    • Accurately marking, clamping, and securing materials
    • Manipulating and bending materials
    • Adjusting and controlling torch flame
  • Work safely by:
    • Implementing correct shut down procedures
    • Adopting correct cutting position
    • Testing equipment before use
    • Identifying and controlling hazards

Upon successful completion the candidate will be able to obtain a Statement of Attainment.
