Course Summary
This training course outlines the skills and knowledge required to:
- Cut and weld materials by:
- Using oxyacetylene, electric welding and bending equipment
- Selecting appropriate tools for tasks
- Using hand and power tools
- Fixing welding defects
- Heat and bend materials by:
- Accurately marking, clamping, and securing materials
- Manipulating and bending materials
- Adjusting and controlling torch flame
- Work safely by:
- Implementing correct shut down procedures
- Adopting correct cutting position
- Testing equipment before use
- Identifying and controlling hazards
Upon successful completion the candidate will be able to obtain a Statement of Attainment.
