Course Summary

This course is delivered in accordance with Tasmanian WHS Regulations and Code of Practice 2012 and AS/NZS 2865:2009. It covers legislative requirements, duties of workers, confined spaceidentification, establishing procedures, conducting risk assessments, establishing emergency procedures, selecting entry equipment, atmospheric monitoring with gas detectors, documentation and record- keeping, issuing permits, and the use of equipment.

Suitable for:

Designated Accountable Persons, Engineers, Work Supervisors, Leading hands.

Duration of Course:

2 days, 8.30 am - 4.00 pm – unless advised otherwise.

Pre-Requisites:

Currently qualified as a Confined Space Entrant/Operator.

Participant Requirements:

Parts of this course are conducted outdoors. Wear or bring clothing and PPE that you know will keep you protected from the sun and the prevailing weather of the day. Hi-visibility clothing and other PPEmay also be mandatory at your workplace – If so, wear it or bring it along.

*Make sure you wear or bring clothing that can get dusty and dirty.
