Course Summary

The purpose of this Confined Space course is to equip students with the essential competencies and understanding required for safe and proficient entry and operation within confined spaces. The training and evaluation adhere to AS2865 standards, encompassing, among other things:

- Relevant legislation and company protocols for confined spaces

- Definitions and classifications of confined spaces

- Identification of hazards and procedures for risk management

- Techniques for monitoring hazardous atmospheres, including gas monitoring

- Procedures for isolation, purging, and ventilation

- Roles and duties of the team, including standby responsibilities

- Rescue procedures and equipment

- Case studies from the industry.
