WHS Laws in Australia - Harmonisation

Tasmania implemented the model WHS laws on 1 January 2013. Victoria is the only jurisdiction which has not implemented the model WHS legislation.

Selecting the correct course ensures you are receiving the correct legislative references and information applicable to the state in which you conduct your work. It is important to note however, that the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is a nationally recognised qualification, and as such, students should be able to apply the knowledge and skills attained in any jurisdiction in Australia.

Course Inclusions

  • Self-Paced Online
    • Access to digital learning guides for each of the units which you will study as part of your qualification

You will gain knowledge and skills of how to research, investigate and apply the Model legislation in various scenarios. Returning to the workplace, you will be able to use the skills you have learnt with the legislation applicable to your jurisdiction. This online program leads to a qualification that is nationally recognised.
