The Learner completing this course will:

  1. Understand the Building Approval Process and how it relates to the Planning Process.
  2. Understand the role of the Building Surveyor.
  3. Understand the role of the Permit Authority in granting building approvals.
  4. Understand the different categories of building work.
  5. Understand the licensing requirements for practitioners in each category of building work.
  6. Understand the approval process for demolition work.
