Course Summary
This course has been developed to adopt new requirements within the Onsite Wastewater Code, and supports Local Councils, Health Authorities , the wastewater industry and homeowners improve the standard of servicing and maintenance of aerobic wastewater treatment systems.
Aimed at the service technician this course will review a number of different manufacturers systems, fault diagnostic tests and their interpretation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of faulty or failing systems.
The course involves hands-on practical exercises to consolidate knowledge and develop skills. There will be a strong emphasis on practical and field based learning with approximately half of the course time spent on troubleshooting exercises and looking at and working on a wide variety of aerobic wastewater treatment systems on site. The course includes testing, inspecting, fault finding, rectifying operating systems and the equipment requirements to do this.
