Training Success Story for Ken of InnerSpace Wardrobes

Ken Saville, Designer/Managing Director at InnerSpace Wardrobes, recently shared his success story after completing his Diploma of Building and Construction.

In 2019, HIA Tasmania asked if InnerSpace Wardrobes would be interested in completing their Diplomas of Building and Construction. While Ken was interested, the COVID-19 Pandemic put all training on the back burner. In early 2021, the course was offered over Zoom, and Ken was able to start.

Ken said “The course was great, but what was even better is this course would normally be way out of my reach without the funding we were able to get from Keystone. The training team at HIA Tasmania were excellent and were able to get me all the info to have Keystone provide a majority of the funding, and this made it affordable for me to complete my studies.”

When Ken graduated, he said “We finally graduated in October 2022, and I must admit it was a proud moment for myself, as going back to solid training as you are older, running a business is at first daunting. I think had Keystone not offered to help pay for a big part of the training, I probably would not have done it, as its one of those blocks that just gets in the way and I would had said “no, I don’t want to do it...”

Ken was able to connect with fellow building and construction professionals across the state and even the country, with course delivery that suited his busy lifestyle. He said “If you are thinking of any type of training in the Building and Construction Industry, talk to Keystone and your training provider, they can make it happen. It was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone wanting to gain a better qualification.”
