Keystone’s Strategic Projects Manager, Brett Withington, and Project Officer, Renee Frost, had the opportunity to visit the induction training of the Tasmanian Building Group Apprenticeship Scheme (TasBGAS) Building Futures program in Hobart.

Building Futures allows students to develop important work-readiness skills, nationally recognised qualifications, and gain hands-on learning experience in multiple trades within the building and construction industry, while also attending school.

Brett and Renee were given the chance to view the workshops and training rooms at the Hobart site where students were being taken through Work, Health & Safety units.

“It was great to meet the southern cohort of students undertaking the program this year, and we look forward to also meeting the north and north-west participants in the coming months,” Brett and Renee said.

Keystone proudly provides significant funding to support the continuation and growth of this valuable state-wide, school-based traineeship program.
