Building and construction business across Tasmania will have access to practical project management training at a significantly reduced cost, with 70 subsidised places available through support from the Keystone Flexi-fund.
Keystone Tasmania is supporting the Centre for Project Innovation to deliver Project Management Training workshops across the state, including Glenorchy, Kingston, Sorell, Launceston and Devonport, commencing in October 2026.
The program normally costs $1,250 per participant. Through Keystone's Flexi-fund support, eligible participants will receive a $750 subsidy, reducing the amount they pay to $500.
The training is designed for people working across building, construction, infrastructure, civil works, asset management and project delivery who want to strengthen their practical project management capability.
Practical skills for project delivery
The program covers:
- Project management theory across 12 core units
- Practical tools and techniques for project delivery
- AI for Project Management tips and prompts
- Support from experienced project management trainers
- The opportunity to complete a recognised Project Certification assessment
The program may be particularly relevant to people managing projects, coordinating works, supervising teams or supporting construction project delivery.
Responding to industry training needs
Funding for the initiative has been provided through the Keystone Flexi-fund, which supports short-term projects responding to demonstrated and emerging needs within Tasmania's building and construction industry.
The Flexi-fund operates outside Keystone's annual Training Plan process, providing a flexible way to support initiatives responding to areas such as emerging training demand, new technology, workforce challenges and opportunities to improve industry productivity.
Only 70 subsidised places are available statewide.
