Course Summary
The Arc Flash Awareness Course is a unique accredited program that provides students with the practical skills to understand arc flash occurences and implement risk management practices to reduce the risk of injury and even death.
From the guidance of our highly skilled and experienced trainers, you will learn:
- How arc flash is caused and the associated hazards and risks.
- To manage arc flash risks using a range of control methods.
- Arc flash calculations to estimate incident energy (heat flux).
Entry Requirements
Students must:
- Have an orientation towards working in this industry or be already employed.
- Have the necessary LLN skills to commence learning in this program.
- Be physically capable of performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR to an adult mannequin on the floor, and to maneuver a heavy dummy (70kg) to the floor.
