Course Summary

This course covers the requirements to work safely as a safety observer/spotter on civil construction sites. It includes:

• initial planning and preparation

• hazard identification

• managing risks associated with working areas involving vehicles, plant and pedestrians

• maintaining designated work zones

• awareness of no go or exclusion zones. Both theory and practical is covered in the course, which can be contextualised to be relevant to a broad range of workplace environments.
