Course Summary

This WHS risk management for Supervisors and Managers course is ideal for the role of a supervisors and managers in business. This course aims to familiarise participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of risk management as an integral part of an effective Work Health and Safety Management System. It will also assist supervisors and managers to effectively manage health and safety in their area of responsibility.

This course has been designed for supervisors and managers wanting to learn more about what work health and safety risk management means in the workplace. In every workplace, workers are exposed to day-to-day activities involving some kind of workplace health and safety risk, which needs to be identified and managed. These workplace risks apply to a broad range of roles across all industries and require appropriately trained and equipped employees to identify and manage them.

This training course allows you to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to identify work health and safety (WHS) hazards and assess and control the risk relating to those identified hazards. It involves contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of risk controls according to legislative and organisational requirements.
