Course Summary
Successfully completing this course will allow you to operate all types of non-slewing telehandlers throughout Australia. Training will be completed with fork tynes.
You will require a National High Risk Work Licence, CN, Non Slew Crane if a capacity of 3 tonnes or greater on a Jib attachment. There are age restrictions set by the Work Health and Safety legislation, all participants must be at least 18 years of age if requiring a CN HRWL.
Participants will be equipped with skills and knowledge to operate an Elevating Work Platform (Boom length over 11 metres).
As a result of this program, participants will be able to:
- Access, interpret and apply technical and safety information for EWP
- Assess hazards and risk associated with operating an EWP
- Select, inspect, donn, doff and caring for PPE
- Perform EWP operation
This unit of competence has been drawn from the nationally endorsed industry training package RII - Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package (Release 9.0) On successfully completing the training and assessment, a Statement of Attainment (SoA) for the unit RIIHAN309F - Conduct telescopic materials handler operations. The unit of competency is nationally recognised and provides individuals with a valuable qualification that can be applied throughout Australia.
