Course Summary

This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights. This course is designed to meet the requirements from the Resources and Infrastructure Industries training package. Learners will understand how to identify industry requirements, work procedures and instructions.

Additionally, learners will be able to access and install height safety equipment safely, perform their heights work safely including cleaning up their work area when the tasks are completed.

This course is essential for people who are required to work at heights in the course of their employment.

This course prepares learners to undertake the assessment to obtain a Statement of Attainment in RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights.

Purpose:

  • Identifying work requirements including Work Health Safety legislation
  • Following company procedures
  • Accessing and installing height safety related equipment
  • Risk assessment and hazard control strategies
  • Performing working at heights
