Course Summary
Course Description
This course is targeted to participants who are seeking to improve their knowledge and skills when providing first aid.
Participants will be inspired by this course and be equipped with skills and knowledge to be able to provide first aid and CPR in an emergency situation.
As a result of this program, participants will be able to:
- Recognise an emergency situation
- Identify, assess and minimise immediate hazards to health and safety
- Assess the casualty and recognise the need for first aid
- Perform CPR to current ARC guidelines
- Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Convey details of incident to emergency services / workplace supervisor
