Course Summary

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to operate, maintain and shift loads using a vehicle loading crane. This course is for operators of vehicle loading cranes where the maximum working load of the crane is less than 10 metre tonnes.

The following is covered in the course:

  • Prepare for vehicle loading crane operations
  • Identify and assess hazards
  • Conduct pre-start checks
  • Set up and prepare the crane
  • Commonly used hand signals
  • Calculating load ratings
  • Operate the vehicle loading crane in line with job requirements
  • Shut down sequence

Location:

Assessments are conducted onsite using the equipment at the client’s workplace.

Duration:

Assessment is conducted over one day.

Cost:

Assessments are charged per assessment.
