Course Summary

The LVR or low voltage rescue training course component of this training covers the skills and knowledge required for a person to be able to carry out a risk assessment of an electrically hazardous situation and confidently perform low voltage rescue procedures without hazard to themselves or others. The CPR component of this training covers both theoretical and practical aspects of providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

The course content includes but is not limited to: Recognise an emergency situation
Manage risks to the health and safety of self and others Assess the casualty and recognise the need for CPR Seek assistance from emergency response services Display respectful behaviour towards casualty

Operate Automated External Defibrillator (AED) according to manufacturer’s Instructions
Accurately convey incident details to emergency response services Report details of incident to workplace supervisor as appropriate Maintain confidentiality of records and information in line with statutory and/or organisational policies.
