Course Summary

Objective:

This training will provide participants a refresher training and update of the required knowledge and skills to:

  • Perform mandatory electrical testing in accordance with AS/NZS 3000, AS 3017 & AS/NZS 4741 requirements when fault finding &/or repairing or replacing damaged consumer mains or submains,
  • Safely perform electrical testing to determine faults causes,
    • identify high resistance connections, electrical hazards,
  • Confirm neutral integrity & identify high resistance connections, electrical hazards & unsafe conditions,
  • Meet electrical regulatory compliance obligations.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will have demonstrated the knowledge and skills to:

  • ​Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, electrical faults & hazards
  • Safely perform electrical testing & fault finding on electrical installations
  • Implement safe work practices.
  • Understand electrical regulatory compliance obligations.
