Course Summary
Objective:
This training will provide participants a refresher training and update of the required knowledge and skills to:
- Perform mandatory electrical testing in accordance with AS/NZS 3000, AS 3017 & AS/NZS 4741 requirements when fault finding &/or repairing or replacing damaged consumer mains or submains,
- Safely perform electrical testing to determine faults causes,
- identify high resistance connections, electrical hazards,
- Confirm neutral integrity & identify high resistance connections, electrical hazards & unsafe conditions,
- Meet electrical regulatory compliance obligations.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will have demonstrated the knowledge and skills to:
- Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, electrical faults & hazards
- Safely perform electrical testing & fault finding on electrical installations
- Implement safe work practices.
- Understand electrical regulatory compliance obligations.
