Course Summary

This course is for ECO Wardens and other persons who are responsible for the control of premises and occupants during an emergency in the workplace. The course is conducted in accordance with AS 3745 and AS 4083 and the requirements of the General Fire Regulations and will assist in compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

Emergency evacuation procedures:

When training is conducted for one workplace, it is tailored to incorporate the site-specific emergency evacuation plan.

Suitable for:

ECO Wardens, Area/Floor Wardens:

This covers the roles and responsibilities of Wardens during a workplace emergency. For small organisations it is also suitable for all staff attending.

Special Requirements:

Persons nominated for Warden positions are required to be physically capable and have leadership, decision making and communication skills as specified in AS 3745.

Assessment:

A short theory assessment is conducted during the course. Practical skills and procedures are assessed during activities and at the practice evacuation.
