Course Summary

This training course outlines the skills and knowledge required to:

  • Safely operate elevated work platforms (EWP)
  • Conduct pre-start operational and visibility checks
  • Assess safe limits to comply with EWP data plate specifications
  • Shut down and secure EWP
  • Respond to incidents and unsafe conditions
  • Use personal protection equipment correctly

Upon successful completion the candidate will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0005 - Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more), RIIRTM203E - Work as a safety observer/spotter and RIIHAN301E - Operate elevating work platform, and the necessary interim licence to apply for a High-Risk Work Licence for Elevated Work Platform – (WP) in Tasmania.
