Course Summary

Course Outline: This course covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct dozer operations that safely, effectively and efficiently follow workplace procedures including:

  • prestart checks prior to commencing operations;
  • driving and operating the equipment, including adjusting techniques to suit site conditions;
  • completing operations to specification;
  • selecting, fitting, testing, using and removing attachments;
  • using appropriate communication techniques and signals in line with site procedures;
  • written and verbal reporting requirements associated with equipment operations;
  • shutdown procedures on completion of operations; and
  • site clean-up requirements.
