Course Summary

Course Objectives

This Unit of Competency involves leading the preparation of facility emergency response procedures; commanding, controlling and coordinating facility emergency response procedures and responses and concluding the facility emergency incident. Individuals who undertake this work may also act as the primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival.

Pre-Requisite

Any participants completing this training unit must also have completed ‘Operate as part of an emergency control organisation’ PUAFER005, as a prerequisite to this course.

Course Outline

✓ Prepare for an emergency in a facility

✓ Undertake pre-emergency planning

✓ Take appropriate actions in an emergency

✓ Conclude emergency

Assessment

Participants will be assessed via a written assessment. Participants with literacy/numeracy difficulties or physical

conditions should speak with the Trainer to discuss alternative assessment approaches.

Qualification

On successful completion, each participant will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
