Keystone Tasmania was delighted to be a part of Tradeswomen Australia's Supporting Women to Succeed Launch on April 11.
The Minister for Women, the Hon. Madelaine Ogilvie, launched the program at the TMEC Manufacturing Centre of Excellence in Burnie in the states North-West.
These ground-breaking projects will support employers to not only recruit trade-ready women into non-traditional trades, but also create thriving, healthy work cultures and environments for them to enter through supported activity for interested women, and a 12-month cultural change program teaching diversity and inclusion strategies.
Keystone’s Strategic Projects Manager - Stakeholder Engagement, Dr Anna Carew, was proud to represent Keystone. Dr Carew said ‘the participation of a wide range of key stakeholders in the launch event was important to see. The time is right for much greater participation of women in our sector, and the energy and goodwill in the room suggests these projects are likely to have a very positive impact.’
The projects are supported by the Tasmanian Government’s Supporting Women to Succeed Grant Program. Funding support was provided by Keystone Tasmania to expand the scope and coverage of both projects.
