Workplace Cultural Transformation

Migrant Resource Centre - Workplace Cultural Transformation

Tasmanians from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background present an important and largely untapped source of labour for the building and construction industry.

To recruit more CALD people, businesses need to modify recruitment practices and workplace culture.

This project supports the Migrant Resource Centre to deliver a cultural change program to raise awareness of structural barriers to a diverse workforce, such as bias and discrimination.

The project team will also work with several businesses to design and action improvements in CALD recruitment and retention, and will develop Cultural Diversity resources and frameworks to support more CALD-friendly workplace policies and procedures.

Project duration: 12 months

Keystone funding: $53,735
