Course Summary

Key Information About This Course:

This learning pathway has been developed in consultation with Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) as a professional development course and information refresher and is designed specifically for existing Restricted Electrical Work Licence (REWL) Holders.

Continuous Professional Development Points:

REWL Holder - This course is approved as the entire CDP activity required to be undertaken by a current REWL holder during their licence period.

Non-REWL Holders - 4 Points

The learning pathway is self-paced, typically it may take you up to 1 day to complete, you may stop at any time and come back to it starting automatically from where you left the learning path. The system automatically logs your activity and your completion progress, remembering where you are at on your return.

You must complete each step and chapter to progress to the next, download all the relevant resources, read them and then watch all the relevant accompanying videos in the pathway to progress to the next step and finally to the assessment.

This pathway covers information, learning and assessment outcomes for pre-existing licence holders only and is not part of the original licencing course that must be completed to conduct REWL work. 

Each aware365 course has an appointed specialist trainer and assessor and general problem solver to make your training experience run as smoothly as possible. Access your nominated specialist is 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday during normal business days this excludes weekends and public holidays. If required, you may request an appointment out of normal hours by email.

Learning pathway outcomes:

Candidates must successfully complete all assessment activities to achieve the CPD points allocated to this course. 

Assessment:

The candidate will be required to complete 3 assessment activities through the pathway.

Pre-requisites:

Anyone can complete this learning pathway, however, to earn full CPD points for REWL, the learner must hold a current REWL issued by the Tasmanian government trade licence regulator CBOS.

Language, literacy and numeracy requirements:

Persons who take part in this learning pathway will require basic computer skills in combination with sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to read, comprehend and complete the online learning materials, by following basic instructions using a smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC.
